Actress-turned politician Jayaprada, the Samajwadi Party candidate for Uttar Pradesh's Rampur Lok Sabha seat, has been booked for luring women voters by distributing packets of bindis to them, an official said Wednesday.

The youngsters are voters in the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency and have only a day to decide whether to vote and whom to vote for. The second and last phase of elections to the 28 Lok Sabha seats from Karnataka will be held Thursday, when Dakshina Kannada will be among 11 constituencies to hold balloting.

As the Election Fast Approaching, Minister are going Crazy. Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday demanded immediate arrest of RJD leader Lalu Prasad for "threatening" BJP nominee Varun Gandhi.

Uddhav Thackeray stated
"If Varun can be arrested for his alleged inflammatory remarks, then why not Lalu," Uddhav, who is now the de facto head of the saffron outfit, told PTI in an interview at the Sena headquarters in central Mumbai.

Varun didn't take any name in his speech but was still arrested, that too, under the stringent National Security Act. Why is Lalu being spared? Everyone should get equal treatment,"

Journalist Throws Shoe on Home Minister P Chidambaram

Few months back US Former President BUSH got the Shoe from the IRAQ Journalist, Our Home Minister P Chidambaram got the same treatment with A Sikh journalist.

Sikh Journalist hurled a shoe at Home Minister P Chidambaram protesting against CBI's clean chit to senior Congress leader Jagdish Tytler accused in 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, but it missed the target.

Chidambaram, who was addressing a press conference at the AICC headquarters, was surprised when suddenly Jarnail Singh, journalist from a Hindi daily, flung the shoe and an alert Home Minister made a quick movement to see it pass by him.

Chidambaram said "Please take him away," who later added "gently, gently" as the journalist was escorted out of the press conference hall. Later, he was taken away by police but it was not clear whether any case has been registered against him against the backdrop of Chidambaram saying "I forgive him".

Three blasts in Assam, including in the state's main city Guwahati, in which seven people were killed 30 injured in Assam's main city of Guwahati around 1.45 p.m. Monday. Another explosion took place 150 km away in Dhekiajuli town. A third explosion took place in eastern Karbi Anglong district, in which two people were injured.

The explosions took place a few hours before Chidambaram flew in for his maiden visit as home minister to review the law and order situation.

During Chidambaram Visit to Rajasthan for allegedly offering poll sops, Election Commission have demanded reply from Chidambaram.

Election Commission also warns Mulayam as well as
BJP leader Jaswant Singh for allegedly distributing money during a public meeting in Rajasthan's Barmer district.

The EC had earlier said it will look into the video footage of the rally. The duo were accused of handing over Rs 10,000 to a woman and distributing food packets.

If the BJP Comes to power then there will be no tax on income up to Rs.300,000 per year.

Bharatiya Janata Party will exempt all armed forces and paramilitary personnel from income tax if voted to power, the party said while releasing its manifesto Friday for the Lok Sabha Elections.

The party said it would enact a 'strong law' like POTA (Prevention of Terrorism Act) to counter terrorism and also strengthen coastal security,

A day after the Supreme Court disallowed him from contesting elections because of his conviction in a criminal case.

In an interview to television channel NDTV, Dutt said he had tapes of the conversation he had with the minister who threatened him that court cases would go against him if he did not join the Congress.

Refusing to identify the minister, Dutt said: 'I did a sting operation on the minister.'

He added that he 'wore a taping device to expose the minister'.

Dutt was given a ticket by the Samajwadi Party to contest the Lok Sabha election from Lucknow
