2009 Lok Sabha Election Update - Election News Details - Election Seat

As the Election Commission formally announced results for 542 of the 543 elected seats in the Lok Sabha by Sunday afternoon, the United Progressive Alliance had 262 seats, 10 short of the halfway mark.

Mayamati BSP Supremo on Wednesday made it clear that her party will go all alone in all the stateswhere they had put up candidates for the Lok Sabha polls.

Mayamati said in her statement "Our party has not entered into any alliance with anyparty. BSP is contesting the elections on its own".
