Election 2009 update | Election Commission Issue Notice to Chidambaram
Election Commission has issued a notice to Chidambaram for violating the model code of conduct.
During Chidambaram Visit to Rajasthan for allegedly offering poll sops, Election Commission have demanded reply from Chidambaram.
Election Commission also warns Mulayam as well as BJP leader Jaswant Singh for allegedly distributing money during a public meeting in Rajasthan's Barmer district.
The EC had earlier said it will look into the video footage of the rally. The duo were accused of handing over Rs 10,000 to a woman and distributing food packets.

A day after the Supreme Court disallowed him from contesting elections because of his conviction in a criminal case.
In an interview to television channel NDTV, Dutt said he had tapes of the conversation he had with the minister who threatened him that court cases would go against him if he did not join the Congress.
Refusing to identify the minister, Dutt said: 'I did a sting operation on the minister.'
He added that he 'wore a taping device to expose the minister'.
Dutt was given a ticket by the Samajwadi Party to contest the Lok Sabha election from LucknowDutt told to the channel that he did a sting operation against a union minister.
